Dhaka: Seasoned campaigners Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal will make their One-Day International return in the three-match series against Windies after injury layoffs, it was announced on Sunday (December 2).
The duo didn't take part in Bangladesh's previous ODI series against Zimbabwe in October but have now successfully recovered from their fitness issues.
Tamim has been out of the national side since fracturing his wrist in the opening game of the 2018 Asia Cup against Sri Lanka in the UAE. He was due to return for the two Tests against Windies but a side strain ahead of the series delayed his comeback. Meanwhile, having successfully recovered from his finger injury, Shakib led Bangladesh to a 2-0 victory over Windies in the Test series.
Bangladesh have left out Mosaddek Hossain, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Fazle Mahmud from the 16-man squad. Mahmud registered two ducks in his debut ODI series against Windies.
The three ODIs will be played in Dhaka and Sylhet on December 9, 11 and 14 respectively.
