Dhaka: Uncapped left-arm medium-pacer Mohammad Saifuddin, the uncapped left-arm medium-pacer, has been included in a 15-man Bangladesh squad for the three-match One-Day International series in South Africa, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Thursday.
Saifuddin, 20, impressed the selectors with his performances at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016, where he was the highest wicket-taker for his side, with 13 wickets in six games at 14.92. He was subsequently propelled into the national setup and was handed a debut in the Twenty20 International series against Sri Lanka earlier this year.
Nasir Hossain, the all-rounder, and Liton Das, who has taken over the wicketkeeping duties in the Test arena, were also included in the squad, with Mosaddek Hossain, Sunzamul Islam and Shafiul Islam the three players to miss out from the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 squad which powered Bangladesh to the semi-final of a major tournament for the first time.

Tamim Iqbal, who has been ruled out of the second Test against South Africa beginning on Friday due to a thigh strain, was also named in the side, with the selectors hopeful of the southpaw being fit before the start of the ODI series.
The first ODI will be played at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley on October 15, with the remaining matches in Paarl (October 22) and East London (October 26).
