Bengaluru: Match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad was, on Tuesday night, washed out without a ball being bowled.
Persistent rain did not even allow the toss to take place, as the field at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru remained under covers.
It all began in the evening when the proceedings were delayed due to a drizzle around the slated time. To make matters worse, the rain got heavier with time.
Though it did subside in between to allow the umpires Marais Erasmus and C Shamshuddin to have an inspection, the chance looked remote.
Even till past 10 pm IST, the M Chinnaswamy Stadium remained packed with the fans who had come out in anticipation to see the local side put up a better show.
