Dhaka: Bangladesh on Monday included two uncapped cricketers - Mosaddek Hossain and paceman Subashis Roy - in their 15-man squad for second and final Test against England.
Chief selector Minhajul Abedin said Mosaddek was included as a backup to Sabbir Rahman, who has fallen ill after putting up a valiant fight in Bangladesh's 22-run loss in the opening Test that ended on Monday in Chittagong.
Sabbir was left stranded on 64 as Ben Stokes claimed two wickets in three balls to seal the thrilling contest on the fifth day.
Mosaddek, who has a good track record in domestic first-class cricket, played five one-day internationals against Afghanistan and England but he has yet to win a Test cap.
Shuvashis replaced paceman Shafiul Islam, who has been rested.
The second and final Test will start in Dhaka on October 28.
