Sydney: Australia have included a trio of uncapped fast bowlers in an under-strength 15-man squad for their one-day international tour of South Africa.
Victoria's Chris Tremain joins South Australia pair Joe Mennie and Daniel Worrall for the tour which starts with a one-day match against Ireland on Sept. 27 before five games against the hosting Proteas.
Pace spearheads Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood have been rested from the series but batsman Aaron Finch was included in Steve Smith's squad despite breaking a finger in the last one-dayer against Sri Lanka on Sunday.
Spinner Nathan Lyon, top order batsman Usman Khawaja and all-rounder Moises Henriques have been omitted after being selected in the squad that defeated Sri Lanka 4-1 away.
Young batting talent Travis Head, fast-tracked into the national side this year, has retained his spot after playing every game against Sri Lanka.
Australia ODI squad: Steve Smith (capt), Aaron Finch, David Warner (vc), Mitchell Marsh, Shaun Marsh, George Bailey, Matthew Wade (wk), Scott Boland, James Faulkner, John Hastings, Travis Head, Joe Mennie, Chris Tremain, Daniel Worrall, Adam Zampa.
