Bangladesh have host Afghanistan for a One-Day International (ODI) series to take place 25-September to 1st October 2016. Total three matches will play on September 25, 28 and October 1 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
This will be the first time Afghanistan will play a bilateral series in Bangladesh. While a new experience for the visitors, the series is expected to be beneficial for the hosts as well, for they have been hungry for cricket due lack of play post the ICC World T20 2016.
Bangladesh will soon play England in a home series that includes three ODIs followed by two Tests. The series was under question following the terror attacks in Dhaka recently that took the lives of 20 hostages.
England players were free to opt out of the series. However, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) decided to go ahead with the series.
