London: Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh became father when his wife Geeta Basra gave birth to a baby girl yesterday at a hospital in London.
Reports of the actress giving birth to a child have been confirmed by the cricketer’s mother to the media. Bhajji had already flown off to the British capital earlier to be by Geeta’s side.
News of Geeta’s pregnancy did the rounds in April when she was spotted in baggy clothes during the opening ceremony of Indian Premier League 9 (IPL 9). The mommy-to-be had a lavish baby shower in June. It was here that Geeta flaunted her baby bump for the first time.
Close on the heels of Geeta’s pregnancy news, the cricketer had expressed his excitement about impending fatherhood. In an interview, the cricketer had even revealed how he attended pre-natal classes with Geeta.
