Mumbai: BCCI announced venues for three-match Test and five-match ODI series against New Zealand that are scheduled to be played from October 2016.
The first Test will be played at Indore's Holkar stadium, which will host its maiden Test.
However, it will be a proud moment for India‘s first Test captain and Indore-born C.K.Naidu.
The remaining Tests will be played at Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium and Kolkata’s iconic Eden Garden.
The Test series will be followed by ODIs series, which will be played at Dharamsala, Delhi, Mohali, Ranchi and Vizag. While Virat Kohli will lead in Tests, MS Dhoni will captain in ODIs.
The last time New Zealand played in India was in 2012, in which the Black Caps suffered a 2-0 drubbing.
In the first match, India edged past New Zealand by an innings and 115 runs, thanks to Cheteshwar Pujara’s patient 159-run knock. But, it was Ravichandran Ashwin who caught the New Zealand batsman in spin.
