Dubai: Pakistan have made further changes to their squad for the ICC World T20 2016, scheduled to be played in India beginning from March 8.
Pakistan had a disastrous time in the Asia Cup T20 2016, where they managed to win just two matches, losing to arch-rivals India and hosts Bangladesh in the group stages of the Asia Cup.
However the likes of Sharjeel Khan and Mohammad Nawaz have managed to retain their places in the side, despite having an ordinary time in the tournament. Despite a lot of criticism, Shahid Afridi has been retained as captain for the mega event.
Rumman Rais was included in the first squad that Pakistan had released after the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), but he does not find a place in the latest squad.
Pakistan had won the World T20 in 2009, when they won under the leadership of Yoinis Khan, who retired from the shortest format immediately after the final.
Pakistan revised squad: Shahid Afridi (c), Shoaib Malik, Sarfraz Ahmed (wk), Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Akmal (wk), Ahmed Shehzad, Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Imad Wasim, Anwar Ali, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Aamer, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Sami, Khalid Latif.
