Colombo: Sri Lanka have announced Test squad for the upcoming series against West Indies at home.
Batting allrounder Milinda Siriwardana and 20-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Mendis have been named in Sri Lanka's squad for the two-Test series against West Indies while Upul Tharanga andJehan Mubarak dropped.
Angelo Mathews will once again lead the side and hope that his side can make a good bounce back after losing back-to-back series, first at the hands of Pakistan and then to India.
The series against India was the first time Sri Lanka lost to their neighbours since 1993. As expected, Lahiru Thirimanne has been named the vice-captain of the team. Sri Lanka set to play a two-Test series against West Indies, the first Test begins on October 14.
