Antigua: Off-spinner Sunil Narine, who pulled out of the World Cup campaign in order to get used to his re-worked bowling action, has been included in the upcoming limited overs series against Sri Lanka.
Narine has not played international cricket since he was reported for a suspect action during the 2014 Champions League T20 and barred from bowling for Kolkata Knight Riders in the final of that tournament.
Explosive opener Chris Gayle was ruled out of the series after having a back surgery.
Apart from Gayle, Sulieman Benn, Sheldon Cottrell, Nikita Miller, Kemar Roach, Darren Sammy, Lendl Simmons and Dwayne Smith were also left out of the squad.
Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard continued to be sidelined from the ODI set-up.
West Indies will take on Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series starting next month before playing three one-day internationals and two Twenty20s.
