Colombo: Sri Lanka, set a victory target of 386, were 67-3 in their second innings at stumps on the fourth day of the decisive final Test against India in Colombo on Monday.
Kaushal Silva was unbeaten on 24 and skipper Angelo Mathews was on 22 after the hosts were reduced to 21-3 by the seventh over.
India were all out for 274 in their second innings after tea, with Ravichandran Ashwin top-scoring with 58 and useful contributions coming from Rohit Sharma (50) and Stuart Binny (49).
The series is locked at 1-1, with Sri Lanka winning the opening Test in Galle by 63 runs and India drawing level with a 278-run victory in the second match at the P. Sara Oval in Colombo.
