Dahak:: Fast bowler Dale Steyn has become the second South African bowler after Shaun Pollock to get 400 Test wickets after dismissing Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal on the opening day of the second Test in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Steyn, who is playing his 80th Test, reached his landmark when skipper Hashim Amla took a chest-high catch in his third over of the match.
Steyn's former bowling Coach Allan Donald wished for the 32-year old to get 500 wickets soon, saying that is what the former always wanted to do.
Steyn has become the 13th cricketer to take 400 or more wickets in Test matches.
Only Muttiah Muralitharan has been quicker to achieve the landmark with the Sri Lankan spin wizard reached the landmark in just his 72nd Test match.
The current World No 1 in the longer format of the game is only behind Shaun Pollock, who has 421 scalps to his name, in the leading wicket-takers chart for the Proteas.
