London: Uncapped seamer Mark Footitt is named in England's 14-man pre-Ashes training squad but Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan miss out.
The left-arm bowler, who has taken 32 wickets in Division two this season, is the only uncapped player to have been included in the squad, the BBC reported.
The 14-member squad announced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) largely features the same set of players who played the Tests against New Zealand.
ECB's director Andrew Strauss said that with Trevor Bayliss arriving in the country next Thursday, he felt it was important that both players and management, which were likely to be involved in the early stages of the Ashes, have the chance to meet Bayliss and fully understand his approach prior to meeting up for the start of the Test series.
England' squad includes: Alastair Cook, Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Gary Balance, Ian Bell, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Steven Finn, Mark Footitt, Adam Lyth, Liam Plunkett, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Mark Wood.
