Ahmedabad: After Royal Challengers Bangalore restrict Rajasthan Royals to 130, Virat Kohli (62*) and AB de Villiers (47*) chase down with nine wickets in hand and 23-balls to spare.
Royal Challengers Bangalore handed the high-flying Rajasthan Royals their second loss on the trot, when the trumped the top-ranked side in the Indian Premier League
Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers scored 62 not out and 47 not out respectively as the Royal Challengers Bangalore registered their second win in the tournament, after losing a couple of home matches in the ongoing IPL 8.
Mitchell Starc was the star with the ball grabbing three wickets for 22 runs off his four overs, as Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel claimed two wickets as it were the Bangalore bowlers who actually set up the game for their side and the batsmen did well to garner much-needed confidence by scoring runs.
Earlier in the match, an inspired RCB restricted the RR to a modest total of 130 for nine in their allotted 20 overs.
Rajasthan Royals squandered a positive start provided by their openers and it turned out to be a bad day for them with the bat, as none of their frontline batsmen could make a mark. Steven Smith was the only one who went past 30-run mark while the others struggled.
Shane Watson and Ajinkya Rahane started off with tremendous ease. Mitchell Starc got some movement early on but Watson smashed a four in the first over to make his intentions clear.
