Colombo: Sri Lanka has picked uncapped left-arm chinaman bowler Lakshan Sandakan for the fourth and fifth one-day internationals against England.
23-year-old Sandakan has been selected in spite of his inexperience in the domestic circuit having played just 14 first-class, two List A and two T20 matches in his two-year career so far.
Batsman Mahela Jayawardene, who opted out of the third match citing personal reasons is also back. Thilina Kandamby makes way for him after a disappointing performance on his return to international cricket after more than three years.
Seam bowler Suranga Lakmal returns after an injury layoff in the 16-man squad named on Thursday.
Lakmal suffered a foot injury following the second Test against South Africa in July this year but has now recovered. Ashan Priyanjan who had a poor India series managing 15 runs in three ODIs and was subsequently dropped has now been recalled.
Seam bowler Shaminda Eranga has also been left out. Sri Lanka are currently leading the seven-match series 2-1 with the fourth ODI scheduled to be played in Colombo on Sunday.
