Trinidad: Denesh Ramdin has been named skipper of a full-strength West Indies squad for the tour of South Africa either side of the new year.
The WICB named the squad for the series that comprises three Tests and Twenty20 internationals as well as five ODIs, with the players having to sign tour contracts by November 18.
"Of course at all times the selection panel aims to select the best and strongest team available," said chairman of selectors Clive Lloyd.
"We look forward to this squad giving a good account of themselves for the three Tests in South Africa. There is a significant amount of international cricket to be played over the next six months, including Test matches against some of the higher ranked teams in world cricket and as such it would be critical for the squad to get off on a positive note in South Africa."
West Indies had abruptly cut short their tour of India over a dispute over pay with the the WICB and the West Indies Players' Association.
The Tests will be played at Centurion, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town between December 17 and January 6.
Test squad: Denesh Ramdin (capt/wk), Sulieman Benn, Jermaine Blackwood, Kraigg Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Sheldon Cottrell, Shannon Gabriel, Chris Gayle, Jason Holder, Leon Johnson, Kemar Roach, Marlon Samuels, Jerome Taylor, Chadwick Walton.
