Hamilton: South Africa allrounder Robin Peterson will replace left-arm spinner Aaron Phangiso for South Africa's tour to Australia in November.
Cricket South Africa announced that Peterson will join the squad in Australia after the team finishes the New Zealand ODIs.
Phangiso suffered a finger injury in a domestic competition and it has ruled him out for four to six weeks. Peterson has been in good form for the Cape Cobras this season and his addition will add more depth to the South African team.
South Africa won the three-match ODI series against New Zealand by winning the second ODI at Mount Maunganui by 72 runs. The final match of the series will be played in Hamilton on Monday. After the end of the New Zealand tour, South Africa embark on a tour to Australia featuring five ODIs and three T20Is.
The series will begin on November 5 and will conclude on November 2.
