Dubai: India's Virat Kohli has moved to second place in the ICC rankings for ODI batsmen following his return to form with a match-winning century in what turned out to be the last match of the series following West Indies' withdrawal from their tour of India.
Kohli's 127 in the fourth ODI in Dharamsala took his series tally to 191 runs, which moved him to No. 2 in the list. The other Indian to gain was Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who despite taking just two wickets in three ODIs managed to break into the top ten for the first time in his career.
South Africa captain AB de Villiers leads the ODI batsmen list, with team-mate Hashim Amla now at third following Kohli's elevation to second.
The other Indians in the top ten are MS Dhoni at sixth and Shikhar Dhawan at eighth. Suresh Raina's solid series earned him a jump three places to 15th.
In the bowlers' list, Ravindra Jadeja fell one place to sixth. Mohammed Shami's ten wickets in India's 2-1 series win over West Indies saw him move five places to 16th from 21st.
In the team rankings, India at number two with 113 points, equal with South Africa, who have a chance to displace Australia (114) from No 1 when they face New Zealand in a three-match ODI series this week.
A 3-0 cleansween will put South Africa ahead of Australia by one ratings point.
