West Indies v Bangladesh, 2nd Test, Gros Islet

West Indies Look to Whitewash Bangladesh in Historic 500th Test

Gros Islet: The West Indies eye a clean sweep when they take on Bangladesh in the second and last Test starting at Gros Islet on Saturday.

The occasion is historic for the hosts as the encounter happens to be their 500th in Test cricket. The Denesh Ramdin-led team is high on confidence following the 10-wicket win in the first Test while Bangladesh not only will have to worry about a whitewash but also medium pacer Al-Amin Hossain who got reported to the ICC for a suspect bowling action after the first game earlier this week.

The hosts are forced to make one change. Dangerous batsman Chris Gayle has pulled out of the match due to personal reasons and Leon Johnson has been called up as a replacement.

Kraigg Brathwaite made a brilliant double century in the first game. He has got the right temperament and the right technique for Test cricket. At present he seems to be the man Bangladesh should be wary of.

The tourists will be without the services of Imrul Kayes who has been ruled out on account of a skin infection and Anamul Haque is all set to take his place. Al-Amin may also sit out on account of the controversy over his bowling action. As per the ICC rules, he can feature in the match but whether he will play is not certain. In case he doesn't, Robiul Islam could be his replacement.
