Naman Ojha Called up for 4th Test

Southampton: Wicket-keeper batsman Naman Ojha, has been called up in the India squad for the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford in place of back-up wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha, who has been ruled out with an injury.

A statement by BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel stated that Saha will return to India owing to an injury and Ojha will replace him as the back-up wicket-keeper. "Wriddhiman Saha is injured and will soon return to India, Ojha will replace him as the back-up wicketkeeper," said BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel.

Ojha, 31, has been the mainstay for Madhya Pradesh in domestic circuit and scored 835 runs in the last Ranji season at an average of nearly 70. More recently, Ojha finished as the highest run-getter in India A's tour of Australia earlier this month with 430 runs in three innings with three centuries including a double ton.

Ojha was part of the India's limited-over squad in June 2010 that toured Zimbabwe where he played in his only ODI versus Sri Lanka in Harare and managed just one run. He went on to play two T20I matches in the same series but is yet to make his Test debut.
