Dhaka: Stuart Binny (6 for 4) turned in the best figures by an Indian bowler in the second ODI on Tuesday to help the visitors to an unassailable 2-0 lead, and that means captain Suresh Raina can afford to give a chance to a few untested players in the last game of the series on Thursday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Apart from that, a second-string India must be eyeing a clean sweep to prove a point to Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim, who prior to the tournament took a dig at their squad by suggesting it may not be good enough.
A huge wave of pessimism has overcome the fans of the Bangladeshi team in the wake of the latest defeat. Thursday's game is its last chance in the series to redeem itself.
Bangladesh made two changes for the second ODI, handing debuts to Mithun Ali and Taskin Ahmed, and both gave a good account of themselves with 26 and 5 for 28 respectively.
Having the demoralising defeat in mind, there will certainly be more changes and it won't be a surprise if a few biggies are shown the door.
Tamim Iqbal hasn't done well of late and it's high time stepped up. Ziaur Rahman is another player who needs to sort himself out.
India, on otherhand, Kedar Jadhav, Manoj Tiwary and Vinay Kumar are the only players who haven't had a game yet, so there is a good possibility of them featuring in the last encounter.
Chesteshwar Pujara and Ambati Rayudu have been sub-standard so far, so they could very well be making way for Jadhav and Tiwary. Umesh Yadav, who failed to make an impact on a juicy wicket in the second ODI, may sit out in favour of Vinay.
India might also be tempted to give Parvez Rasool another chance and that means Akshar Patel's position is in a bit of jeopardy.
