Dubai: Defending champions India were knocked out of the ICC Under-19 World Cup in the quarterfinal by England at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Electing to bat, India posted 221/8 in their 50 overs which was chased down by the English side with five balls and three wickets to spare.

The defending champions kept losing more wickets but top scorer Deepak Hooda (68) and a late surge by Sarfaraz Khan, who remained unbeaten on 52, helped India reach a respectable 200-par total.
