Mumbai: Vijay Zol, fresh from leading India Colts to victory in the Asia Cup, has been named skipper of the U-19 squad that will defend its World Cup title in the UAE.
The Maharashtra left-hander, fresh from leading India Colts to victory in the Asia Cup against Pakistan, has been named skipper of the Under-19 squad that will defend its World Cup title in the UAE in February.
The All-India Junior Selection Committee met to select the Indian team for the big event. The squad also features Mumbai batting sensation Sarfaraz Khan and Shreyas Iyer.
India are slotted into Group A at the World Cup, with Pakistan, Scotland and Papua New Guinea. Their opening game is against Pakistan, on February 15, in Dubai.
