Wellington: Otago Volts opening batsman Hamish Rutherford is the only new cap in the Kiwis Twenty20 and ODI squads named for the ANZ International Series against England starting next week.
Rutherford, 23, has been selected in the squad for the three Twenty20 matches along with his Otago Volts team-mate Ian Butler who returns to the national side.
Canterbury Wizards allrounder Andrew Ellis returns to both squads after an injury saw him miss the recent tour to South Africa, while star batsman Ross Taylor is also back after missing the South African series.
Sacked New Zealand captain Ross Taylor returned to the Black Caps' fold Friday when he was named in the one-day and Twenty20 squads to face the touring England side this month.
Taylor, New Zealand's best batsman, sat out the Black Caps recent trip to South Africa after being dropped as captain in favour of Brendon McCullum in early December.
