Tahir Added in South Africa Squad for Pakistan Test

Johannesburg: Imran Tahir has been added to the Proteas Castle Lager Test squad as cover for Robbie Peterson for the first Sunfoil Test match against Pakistan which starts at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium on Friday, 1 February 2013.

"We are confident that Robbie will be fit to play but it is prudent to have a cover player for him available to take a full part in the team's preparation this week," commented Cricket South Africa (CSA) selection convener Andrew Hudson.

The Pakistan-born leg-spinner has played 11 Test matches for the Proteas since his debut 14 months ago against Australia.
