Adelaide: The Cricket Australia (CA) National Selection Panel (NSP) has today announced a 12-player squad for the third and fourth Commonwealth Bank Series matches against Sri Lanka on 18 January at the Gabba and 20 January at the SCG.
Commenting on the squad, National Selector John Inverarity said: "Changes to the squad that played the first two matches of the Series are the return of Michael Clarke, David Warner and Matthew Wade, after having a break. Moises Henriques also comes into the squad as a genuine all-rounder whose bowling will be suited to conditions often found at the Gabba."
"Moises is a young man who has shown promise for some years with both the bat and the ball. This will be an opportunity for him to impress as we look for a good seam bowling all-rounder", he added.
Meanwhile, Steve Rixon will take over the Head Coach’s role for the third Commonwealth Bank Series match in Brisbane while Mickey Arthur returns home to spend some time with his family. Arthur will re-join the squad in Sydney on Saturday.
The squad will assemble in Brisbane on 15 January ahead of the third Commonwealth Bank Series match against Sri Lanka at the Gabba on Friday 18 January.
