Sehwag Axed for First Three ODIs

New Delhi: Out-of-form Virender Sehwag has been dropped as Indian selectors announced the 15-member squad for the first three ODIs of the five-match series against England beginning from January 11 in Rajkot.

Cheteshwar Pujara has got a maiden ODI call-up after his splendid double century against MP at Rajkot in Ranji Trophy where he reached 200 from 150 in only 17 deliveries.

MS Dhoni, India's best batsman in the three-match one-day series against Pakistan, kept his captaincy despite calls from former selectors for fresh leadership.

Indian selectors failed to act tough against non performers as Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma Gautam Gambhir have been retained for the series.
