Sydney: All-rounder Jacques Kallis is doubtful for South Africa's only warm-up game, a three-day match against an Australia A, starting on Friday.
Kallis has been holed up in his Sydney hotel room with illness for the first three days of South Africa's Test tour of Australia.
Kallis, 37, was absent from a second straight day of Proteas training at the SCG on Wednesday.
Embarking on a fifth Test visit to Australia, his first tour here was in the 1997/98 season -- the veteran all-rounder battled a finger injury during last month's Champions League Twenty20 tournament in South Africa and has since been struck down by illness.
"He's got a little bit of a flu, a sore throat," said the Proteas' bowling coach, Allan Donald.
"We'll see how he goes, I'm not quite sure what his form is at the moment. Hopefully by Friday he'll be all right," he added.
