Chennai: Yuvraj Singh, R Ashwin and Virat Kohli bagged Grade 'A' while Harbhajan Singh and Ishant Sharma demoted to Grade B.
Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been named in the top bracket of the BCCI's central contracts for the first time, while Harbhajan Singh who has spent much of the year out of the team has been pushed out of the highest grade for 2012-13.
Seamers Sreesanth and Jaydev Unadkat have missed out on contracts, while L Balaji, Ashok Dinda, Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan all get retainers after missing out last year.
Recently retired batsmen Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman also got out from cotract list.
The Indian board awarded contracts to 37 of Indian top players, with nine getting Grade A (Rs 1 crore), eight in Grade B (Rs 50 lakh) and 20 players in Grade C (Rs 25 lakh).
