London: Kevin Pietersen is added to the England squad for the tour of India in November and December.
The decision to recall the 32-year-old was made after he met with coach Andy Flower, Test captain Alastair Cook and other senior players this week.
"The meetings were constructive and cordial and all outstanding issues have been resolved," said England cricket managing director Hugh Morris.
Pietersen, who recently agreed a new England contract, was dropped in August following a fractious summer.
The player had to apologise to former captain Andrew Strauss after sending "provocative" text messages to opposing players during the Test series against South Africa.
Pietersen is currently playing club cricket for Delhi Daredevils in the Champions League in South Africa.
With a Test batting average of 49.48, Pietersen is a huge asset to England on the field but off it he ran into problems this summer.
